Invitations Committee

The Circuit Invitations Committee is called to meet whenever there is a vacancy for a new minister. It is appointed by the circuit meeting. The Committee meets on behalf of the circuit to prepare and submit a profile(s) for the appointment(s) and forward to the stationing committee. This normally happens by the September. 

 

The stationing committee then collates all of the churches profiles which are seeking new ministers along with the ministers profiles who are looking for new appointments - and then a 'matching process' takes place. This takes place from October - February. Ministers normally leave their current appointment at the end of July - arrange the move during August - and then begin their new appointment in September.
