Chaplaincy

University of Wolverhampton

Welcome to Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is both a place and a team of people. Chaplains are here to offer advice, information, guidance and support, to both staff and students, whether they are people of faith or not. We cover all four University sites: Wolverhampton, Telford, Walsall and Burton-upon-Trent.

We offer:

  • A dedicated team of caring, friendly and experienced Chaplains to talk to in private.

  • A quiet room on all sites for prayer and meditation

  • Resources to inform about faith; to help deepen, grow and develop spiritual experience.

  • A warm and hospitable meeting place at City which can be booked for University events

Short Term Volunteers needed urgently:

The chaplaincy, in conjunction with Wolverhampton Refugee and Migrant Centre, is running a reading project with international students.  We urgently need a couple of volunteers to be part of the group.  No preparation is needed – just a willingness to listen and engage in conversation. Contact Sarah at bruces@wlv.ac.uk Courses are already started – Thursdays  4:30 – 6:00 pm &  Fridays 11:00 am – 12:30 pm and will continue for 8 weeks.

Meet the Chaplains

The Chaplains offer private and confidential support, care and advice throughout the University. We work closely with student faith societies on campus and with local places of prayer and worship in the local community. If we are not able to offer the support needed, we will always do our best to signpost individuals to other Organisations and groups for more specialised care and advice.

Our multi faith Chaplaincy Team offer private and confidential support, care and advice across the University. We work closely with student faith societies on campus and with local places of prayer and worship in the local community.
